A: You name it! The Chicago Dueling Pianos are so successful because everyone loves them. They can fit in anywhere – for any age group – any celebration.  This includes corporate parties, sales seminars, weddings, street fairs, festivals, family reunions, trade conventions, supermarket grand openings and any type of outpatient surgery party. 

Q: We were thinking about hiring my brother’s next door neighbor’s uncle’s garage band because they’ve been rehearsing for almost a year now. How do Chicago Dueling Pianos compare to the bands or local DJs we know about?

A: Well, first of all make sure you get a good price on that garage band.  Honestly, there’s no way to compare. Most bands members are not able to support their families playing music full time. Our Dueling Piano Performers work 4 – 5 nights every week.  We are fresh from years of experience and working every night taking requests. Plus we have a good feel for the pulse of the public. Because we do this full time, we have the time to learn the current hits as well as the wisdom to know which standards will work and when.

We’re better than DJs because we’re not limited to the length of a recording. We can cut bait and run if a tune is failing or we can continue longer if people are singing and dancing. 

The audience decides what we play, when we play it and how we play it.  Because of this constantly evolving interaction, you’ll never see the same show twice and everyone will be talking about what a great time they had at your event for weeks afterwards.  

Q: I've seen other dueling piano shows that can get pretty “raunchy”. What about Chicago Dueling Pianos?

A: The Chicago Dueling Pianos will stay within the parameters that are appropriate for your event at all times. 

Q: How much does The Chicago Dueling Pianos cost?

Q: Who handles the production and equipment specifications?

A: Again, this depends on the size and location of the show. For events of 800 guests or less in our area, Chicago Dueling Pianos will handle the production. Events of 800 or more, or events outside of our driving area will require a production company. We can help with any production questions you may have. Chicago Dueling Pianos always supplies you with a contract rider that specifies what equipment is required.

Q:  What kind of pianos do you play?

A: TRADE SECRET: We do not always play Grand Pianos! Frequently we play Digital Pianos which are placed inside a hollowed out shell of an old Grand Piano. At other times we will place the Digital Pianos on portable keyboard stands known as X-stands. Call 312-281-2728 and let us discuss whether shells or X-stands will work best for your situation.  

Q: Our function is outside of the Chicagoland area. How far do you guys travel?  

A: Chicago Dueling Pianos have traveled all over the US to perform shows. Any date that requires more than an hour or two of drive time would require overnight accommodations.  But we can figure that out when you call 312-281-2728 for your FREE Proposal.
