David Allen is known by many of his peers as the “Human Jukebox”. His vast repertoire covers all genres of music. A self-taught piano player, David began playing the piano by ear at the age of 4. He quickly followed in the footsteps of his father, a music teacher and professional piano player. David was playing professionally long before he could even drive to the gigs. After college, David played with the local Chicago jam band Mr. Blotto, providing piano and Hammond B3 Organ from 1993-2005. Blotto played at many big rooms including the Vic, Skyline Stage, and House of Blues as well as Taste of Chicago, Summerfest and other festivals. He also continued to play many piano bar gigs during this time. For the last 5 plus years, David has done Dueling Pianos almost exclusively - playing with Chicago Dueling Pianos. David’s quick wit and engaging personality make him a formidable dueling performer.
